Once the order has been confirmed, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging the receipt of your order and payment, and will be notified to download the photos. The internet link is valid for one month.

Each digital photo costs $23.

Once your payment has been confirmed and the transaction is completed, you will receive an e-mail providing an internet link to download the photos. You have a downloading period of one month. You are strongly advised to download the photos within the downloading period. Refunds will not be provided.

For photos selected from the archives, we need five working days to convert the negatives or films into digital format before they can be downloaded.

Provided that you have submitted comprehensive supporting documents, your applications for using the photos and waiving the copyright/commercial use fees will be handled within 10 working days.
You will receive an email notification saying we are now handling your applications and shall revert within 10 working days.

There is no downloading limit within the one-month period.

You may apply for permission to use the photos through the Government Photo Store website, www.photostore.gov.hk.
After logging into the system, click on ‘My Order’ to view your purchase records and identify the relevant photo(s), then complete the application form and provide the supporting documents.
If the photos are meant for publishing in non-commercial publicity materials, you may also wish to apply to waive the copyright/commercial use fees at the same time.
